What do you remember about arriving in Nobeoka for the first time?
I remember the two women that came to meet me at the Minami Nobeoka station.
I remember that my bags were too large to fit into their car.
I remember that I was very tired.
I had ridden on the Shinkansen to Kyushu.
Then, I took the slow train to Nobeoka from Kokura.
The entire trip took over 17 hours.
And, I'll never forget the screeching of the wheels of the train as it pulled into Minami
Nobeoka Station.
